The rural Northern Virginia countryside I live in is horse country - and has been since the earliest years of the Commonwealth. Horses are beautiful, graceful animals and we are fortunate to have such a vibrant equine community.

Fox Chase Farm Jumper Show - September 2012

I was riding my Harley towards Middleburg when I passed by Fox Chase Farm during one of their Jumper Shows. On a whim, I decided to swing in and take a few pictures. My Leica Monochrom with 35mm lens was far from the ideal setup for capturing such an event, but one perseveres. The horses were beautiful and the riders were very impressive. I'll be back.
